Individual Tuition

Teachers: Hanne, Roisi, Eleanor

Traditionally yoga was taught on an individual basis. It is still seen as a very important way to explore yoga. Individual tuition is tailored towards your needs, taking into account your interests, life-style and current state of health.

Within these one to one meetings, a practice is developed and personalised for you. The teacher guides you through the practice, making sure you are comfortable and confident to continue your practice on a regular basis at home.

Getting started

An initial half-hour consultation, which is free, is advised to discuss your interests and needs. The first official session lasts up to 1 hour 15 minutes and costs between €65 and €85. All subsequent sessions last up to 1 hour and cost between €50 and €65. Concessions are available. Please see individual teacher profiles for further information and costs.

Frequency of lessons

Normally there is an agreement to meet for six sessions over a three month period.  Three months will give you sufficient time to see the benefits. After three months, you reassess with the teacher. If you choose to continue, you usually come every four to six weeks but this can vary according to your progress and how you relate to the practice.

Home Practice

The home practice can vary in length from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on how much time you have available. Normally, the practice is from about 25 to 45 minutes.

Who might benefit from individual tuition?

  • Yoga students wishing to develop their practice with support..
  • People who find it difficult to commit to a regular group class due to life circumstances, such as work hours, distance, etc.
  • People with specific problems, including stress, anxiety, chronic back/neck pain, breathing difficulty.
  • Those who wish to explore what it means to positively influence their own well-being.
