Roisi Phelan
Roisi's background is in art and design. While on an exhibition tour of Japan in the mid-eighties she came across shiatsu massage therapy, and through her training in that she began to practice Yoga. Her interest in Yoga developed further, as she studied and trained with the Irish Yoga Association, and she qualified as a teacher in 2000.
In 1999 she was introduced to the viniyoga approach to Yoga as taught to Paul Harvey by his teacher TKV Desikachar, and found it inspirational. Since then she has continued to use the principles of the viniyoga of Yoga within her personal practice and Yoga teaching.
From 2000 to 2004 Roisi trained through the Clonlea Yoga Studio, completing an Introductory Workshop Course in 2001 and a Foundation Workshop Course in 2003, as well as continuous and numerous individual lessons with Hanne Gillespie through to 2007.
This led her to undertake a professionally accredited four-year Practitioner Training Programme, between 2005 and 2008, through the Centre for Yoga Studies (cYs) in the UK with Paul Harvey, to learn both the teaching and therapeutic application of Yoga for groups and individuals.
Currently Roisi is nearing the completion, in 2010, of an advanced two year Further Studies Programme, through the Centre for Yoga Studies, focusing on Yoga psychology and therapeutic application of Yoga for individuals.

Individual Tuition
Roisi is also available for individual tuition.
The first session lasts up to 1hr 15mins and costs €75.
Thereafter sessions last up to an 1hr and cost €60.
Parent Mentoring
Roisi is a qualified Parent Mentor from University College Cork, having completed studies in Communications and Parent Mentoring with Clinical psychologist Dr. Tony Humphreys, from 2008 to 2010. She is available for Parent Mentoring services.
